    Power
    Cells are activated by removing an adhesive seal covering ventilation holes, allowing air flow. G-Series Cells require free airflow. Do not install cells in an airtight enclosure

    Sustained Voltage
    Manganese dioxide in the positive electrodes provides a reserve capacity for current peaks that deplete oxygen in the cell

    • Cells are supplied, ready for field use, in plastic cases
    • Prewired in series or parallel to obtain higher voltages or current capacities
    • Cells operate over a range of ambient temperature (-20° C to +50° C)*
    • Maintain full capacity at levels of 25% to 85% relative humidity**
    • G-Series cells operate in any position and on installations in motion
    • Safe to handle without danger of spilling corrosive caustic liquids (Shipping Classification UN2800)

    ​*Temperatures below -20°C do not harm cells, however performance may be affected
    **At other levels of relative humidity, use of a 15% capacity derating factor is recommended

    VIVA Buoy Energy-Paks
    Tideland’s VIVA G9-12 Buoy Energy-Pak is a complete 12-volt electrical power supply for buoys with 564 mm (22 inch) or 615 mm (24 inch) pockets. Each Energy-Pak consists of nine G1-12 cells, factory wired to accessible terminal connections within a rugged plywood enclosure. The enclosure includes a topmounted terminal block, anti-rotation bracket, lifting eye and nylon hoisting line. Buoy Energy-Paks provide stable voltage throughout their lifetime with no required maintenance.

    Good voltage characteristics eliminate the need for a voltage regulator. Lightweight G9-12 Energy-Paks are safe and easy to handle. Sealed construction and oxygen-activation eliminate the possibility of spills. Energy-Paks are shipped with vents sealed. To activate, simply remove the ventilation seals on top of the Energy-Pak.

    For users requiring higher capacity, the G9-24 Buoy Energy-Pak will also fit in 564mm (22 inch) or 615mm (24 inch) pockets.
